Hugo x Les Benjamins: A journey across cultures
For Fall/Winter 2024, HUGO partners with Istanbul-based streetwear brand Les Benjamins to launch a collection that explores interculturality - where East and West meet.
HUGO x Les Benjamins: Middle Eastern aesthetic meets modern tailoring
Founded in 2011 by designer and photographer Bünyamin Aydin, Les Benjamins has risen to the forefront of high-street fashion, fusing Turkish heritage with contemporary culture through storytelling — an attractive and unique creative philosophy. HUGO, known for its empowering tailoring and signature street style, brings its time-honored craftsmanship to this collaboration with Les Benjamins.
HUGO x Les Benjamins celebrates the richness that shapes our global cultural narrative. Blending bold eclectic Middle Eastern aesthetics with HUGO's modern tailoring, the collection invites fashionistas to embark on a stylish journey inspired by history, refined by culture, and customized with traditional flavors.
Open the door to connect the world
The collection includes 18 pieces to create styles for men, women or genderless styles. For menswear, there are designs with strong cuts: A varsity bomber jacket and a loose double-breasted suit, along with printed T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts. Women's outfit with a blazer paired with a matching skirt, wide-leg pants, tank top, tights and a modern version of the classic white shirt. The genderless outfit includes a striking black long coat and a youthful bucket hat.
Marco Falcioni, Senior Vice President of Creative Direction at HUGO BOSS, shares:
“This collaboration is more than just a merging of aesthetics; it’s a dialogue between traditions, a blend of histories, and a bold statement on the power of fashion to bridge worlds and inspire individuals across the world.”
The prominent double key symbol represents the power of the “Key Kids” - Gastarbeiter's children, with the habit of constantly wearing the house key around their necks. Showing independence and responsibility from an early age, children often look after the house while their parents go to work. The double key symbol not only honors resilience, but also symbolizes ambition in opening doors for the next generation.
