The mission of Ambassadeur du Monde du Vin is to educate and share the love and appreciation for wine, believing it to be an ideal lifestyle beverage that enhances dining experiences, promotes social exchange, and brings people closer together. By launching a nationwide wine competition, the organization aims to elevate wine's image in Vietnam, engaging and entertaining wine lovers while attracting new enthusiasts.

A National Platform for Wine Enthusiasts

This prestigious competition fosters a passionate wine community in Vietnam, creating a welcoming space for both enthusiasts and industry professionals to share their love and knowledge of all things grape. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a curious newcomer, AMV provides a platform for discovery, education, and appreciation for the art of wine.

Esteemed international experts with unparalleled experience will meticulously judge entries, ensuring the highest level of recognition and prestige for participating wineries. The presence of these industry luminaries underscores the significance of AMV and its potential impact - not just in Vietnam but regionally as well. As Mr. Sean Le, Founder, AMV observes:

"This competition is a true testament to the remarkable rise of Vietnam's F&B scene. It's incredibly exciting to bring in world-class judges to Vietnam, not only to evaluate the entries but also to share their invaluable knowledge and expertise with Vietnamese wine professionals and enthusiasts alike."

The concept of a nationwide wine competition was conceived by Jeannie Cho Lee more than 20 years ago. While working and living in Asia for over 30 years and watching the pace of wine culture spreading to different markets, she conceptualized a competition that would gather wine enthusiasts as well as the wine trade to make wine accessible and fun.

AMV serves as a national stage for talents within Vietnam to be recognized and celebrated. Master of Wine and Doctor of Philosophy Jeannie Cho Lee – also Chair of Judges - emphasizes the competition's unifying power:

"Our groundbreaking wine competition, the first of its kind in the country, unites consumers, industry professionals, media, and sommeliers in an unforgettable celebration of wine discovery and appreciation."

The competition's unparalleled scope and prestige will undoubtedly elevate and educate Vietnam's wine scene, fostering a new generation of passionate wine lovers and enthusiasts.

Inspiring participation with exceptional prizes

The competition motivates participation through an exceptional prize package that goes beyond mere recognition. Winners will not only receive coveted accolades from esteemed international judges but also the opportunity to embark on an educational and inspiring visit to a prestigious winery in France. This immersion experience will provide invaluable insights into the winemaking process, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the artistry behind each bottle. In addition to this unique experience, winners will also be awarded a $9,000 cash reward and 18 bottles of wine valued at over $8,000.

The competition's allure is further enhanced by the support of esteemed partners and sponsors who share a commitment to elevating Vietnam's wine culture.

In addition to Jeannie Cho Lee (Chair of Judges), the collection of international judges includes renowned sommelier Andreas Larsson (Best Sommelier of the World 2007), Doug Frost, one of three individuals in the world to hold simultaneously the Master of Wine and Master Sommeliers, Richard Hemming (Master of Wine) and Yang Lu (China's first Master Sommelier).
