The opening night on October 17 will kick off with a vibrant and explosive atmosphere, featuring a special performance by DJ Bert Bevans - a music legend who has left his mark on some of the world's most prestigious stages like Studio 54 in New York and Ministry of Sound in London. Bert Bevans’ music will electrify the Capella Hanoi venue, serving as a catalyst for connecting like-minded souls at this kickoff celebration. The event will also unveil a spectacular three-day journey where culture, cuisine, and art intertwine, creating an unforgettable emotional adventure.
Cultural experiences
Throughout the Senses of Capella event, guests staying at Capella Hanoi will be guided on a journey to explore the diverse cultures of Asia. Here, they will have the chance to engage in traditional crafts such as Singapore's unique Peranakan tile painting or observe the delicate process of creating paper fans from Dó paper in Vietnam. Notably, the "Steeped in Tradition" event will introduce a mesmerizing world of handcrafted tea and coffee cultures from Southeast Asia, Australia, and China, all brought to life through creative cocktails. The rich, robust flavor of Vietnamese coffee, the refined artistry of Chinese tea, and the modern style of Australian coffee will harmonize to create new and exciting flavors for guests to experience.
Wellness therapies
Senses of Capella masterfully combines traditional and modern therapeutic methods, offering guests innovative wellness treatments. Under the guidance of sound therapy expert Ashley Tan, you will experience the healing power of music, helping to balance the mind and awaken every sense in the body. Additionally, a special lunch by Chef Celia Lam - the founder of From Root to Sky Inc., who brings new life to familiar ingredients from northern Vietnam, will be served. With a philosophy of honoring natural healing through food, each dish will not only deliver unique flavors but also convey a message of connection between humans and nature.
A culinary journey
The participation of renowned chefs from Capella hotels around the world, including those from Bangkok, Hanoi, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sydney, at Capella Hanoi will present a grand culinary feast called “Capella Culinary Stars”. Taking place on the evening of September 18, this one-of-a-kind event promises to enchant guests’ palates with unforgettable surprises.
Continuing the program, lunch on October 19 and dinners on October 18 and 19 will feature a culinary fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisine. Chef Ramres from the Michelin-starred Le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire at Capella Shanghai will join Chef Vu Huu Binh from Backstage at Capella Hanoi – famous for his exquisite Northern Vietnamese menus recognized by the MICHELIN Guide – to present the most outstanding dishes that blend the essence of French gastronomy with the unique traditions of Vietnamese cuisine.
During these two days, guests will also be treated to a Teppanyaki menu featuring the finest beef from Kitauchi Farm on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, prepared by Vietnam’s only Michelin-starred Japanese chef, Yamaguchi Hiroshi.
To bid farewell, the Capella Mega Brunch will offer every guest an unforgettable culinary experience, featuring an array of exceptional dishes from all participating chefs, concluding the extraordinary journey known as Senses of Capella, held for the first time in Vietnam.
